In 2025, Vietnam\u2019s aquaculture industry continues to affirm its role as a core export pillar. Its products are now present in more than 170 countries and territories<\/strong> worldwide, securing Vietnam\u2019s position among the world\u2019s top three aquaculture exporters. In the first 10 months of 2025, total aquaculture export value reached an estimated USD 9.5 billion<\/strong>, up 16%<\/strong> compared with the same period in 2024. By product group, shrimp remains the primary growth engine with export revenue of around USD 3.9 billion<\/strong>, up 22% year-on-year. Pangasius is estimated at nearly USD 1.8 billion,<\/strong> an increase of 9%, while squid and octopus together record growth of about 19%. In terms of markets, China & Hong Kong stand out as the strongest growth drivers, with export value in the first 10 months of 2025 reaching approximately USD 2 billion<\/strong>, more than 30% higher than a year earlier and taking the largest share in Vietnam\u2019s aquaculture export structure. Shrimp exports to this market alone surpassed USD 1 billion, up roughly 60%. The EU and key Asian markets such as Japan are also showing a solid rebound, with growth of about 13% (USD 985 million) and 15% (USD 1.4 billion) respectively. In contrast, exports to the United States are showing signs of stagnation: overall value still increased modestly by around 9%, but pangasius shipments to this market fell by about 17% in October 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n
